Deciding a Date for Dinner

Kida woke up in what felt like the middle of the night. She was tired, but had awoken abruptly due to a bad dream. As she opened her eyes, she noticed two new items in the room. One envelope was labeled with her own name, and the other with Anya's. Reaching for hers, she opened it and read it quickly. Re-reading the rules several times, she looked towards the wall where she saw the black folder exactly where she left it. Looking through the book, she closely inspected the mugshots of a few of the newer cellmates. They were definitely attractive--but that was probably only as far as it went. Flipping to Tulio's page, she smiled. Next to Esmeralda, he was definitely one of the few people in here that she enjoyed talking to the most. Their conversations could only go so far as through the wall, so meeting face to face was definitely a must.

Taking the black pen, she checked his number and put the list back in the envelope, sliding it towards the door. She sat for a few minutes in silence. There was nothing left to do. Yawning, she laid back down and closed her eyes. She was still exhausted. As she felt sleep dawning on her again, she couldn't help but break into a warm smile. Maybe Tulio was right--all you need to do is be optimistic.

Anya couldnt sleep she faked it for the sake of Kida's sanity knowing that if she knew Anya was up just watching everything in the cell including her the young woman would freak out. Gods did she hate the dim light... on the cusp of darkness and light yet neither. She adored the light relished in it, but the dark... well... at least this would stop her from needing to share the bed as she doubted Kida would be so kind as to let someone like her sleep next to her.

Anya had seen the envelopes come but had not moved to get him call it survival or her inner nature but she wished Kida to be the first one to touch anything new in this cell. Caution was wise here. Once Kida was back to sleep she got up from her spot and simply moved over to look over the contents herself opening only her letter as she blinked.... A dinner.... well.... she really only knew one man all her other cellmates had been women or were now dead. Smirking at his picture 'Cale' she wondered wether or not his wounds had festered or if she could rip them open. Oh gods so many little things for her to use on that table! it was like a dream. Taking the pen and writing down his prisoner number. This should be fun.
