((Minor insight into Hanzö's past))
The boy stood still, his legs crossed as he calmly observed the reptile slither around him, calously getting closer and closer to his body, as if it was trying to dance with him. His lack of movement granted him the peculiar privilegie of having the viper calmly move around his torso and arms, its long tail wrapping around his limbs, as if it was claiming him as its own. Nature had a peculiar phenomenon he had once heard was called 'symbiosis'. It was only now, when his eyes had met the snake's yellow and bottomless pits, that he truly understood what it was to become one with nature, with the legend...with his greatest fear.
One who had control over his fear was one who had control over his destiny. That was why the child did not hesitate to quickly wrap its hand around the viper's body, only slightly below its neck, pulling the head of the fiend away. Oh, it thrashed and tried gnawing, its structure trying to squeeze they boy's, but it was no use, for he had looked into the abyss and kept himself from blinking. He was in his element, not only in that instant, but for the rest of his life. And so, with no qual whatsoever, he tightened his grip as he grabbed the beast's tail with his free hand, pulling it so that he had the snake at his complete mercy. Now, fear, destiny and life were his to mold.
Tryumphantly, he stood up, a calm look in his eye as he gazed upon the now humiliated viper. It was almost sad to see how far the mighty had fallen. That was probably the reason that led him to releasing the reptilian monster into its cage once again, where it could be queen of its domain freely.
Stepping out of the small room he had spent the last evening in, he closed his eyes tightly as he felt the blinding light of day overtake him. It was a whole new world waiting for him. He had taken the first step.
He was now closer than ever to his destiny
